Determining the Scale of Your Bass Guitar

1. Mark the lowest pitch string at the nut with a marker (figure 1).

 

 

2. Remove the string and measure the distance from the inner edge of the ball end (figure 2) to the mark (figure 3).
     Record this length as "X" and refer to the chart below.
